Marzipan, consisting mainly of almonds and powdered sugar, is one of the oldest sweets that has been produced in Estonia. Marzipan, before known as a medicine and now as a treat, was originally made in the oldest continuously operating pharmacy in Europe – Tallinna Raeapteek – but later marzipan reins were taken over by sugar bakers, among whom were also the predecessors of the Kalev chocolate factory. Today, good and high-quality marzipan is still highly valued and it is this kind, the best and highest quality marzipan, is still produced in Kalev factory today.
Sugar, almond 22%, cocoa mass, skimmed milk powder, glucose syrup, water, cocoa butter, spirit, Limoncello liquer (alc. 30% vol), liqueur concentrate “Vana Tallinn” (alc 34% vol.), emulsifier (lecithin), brandy, lemon oil, stabiliser (invertase), flavouring. Preservative free. May contain traces of different nuts, peanuts, cereals containing gluten and egg products.
Keep in cool and dry place (18±3 °С)
